Activity groups are free monthly groups open to people aged 75 and over who are lonely, isolated and in need of companionship. They’re a great way to stay active and to make new friends.
Gentle exercise is a type of exercise that is suitable for people with reduced mobility. Each activity group is different and the types of exercises and activities that they take part in will vary depending upon what the guests enjoy.
Some activity groups enjoy playing skittles, carpet bowls, and boccia, whilst others organise dance sessions and chair exercises.
The purpose of an activity group is to get people moving.
